[2024/06/26 16:16] Alicia Frakture: I take another hunk of meat and throw it to the tiger before I turn in. I'll take it out of my part of the rations.

[2024/06/26 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana settles by a bush, casting glances to the sky at the north east. Time passes, and it must be -very- early morning when Katana shakes you awake, which you expect, but there's a decapitated wold beside you.

[2024/06/26 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Leesha sits up quickly. What the fuck?!?!
[2024/06/26 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "That tiger dragged it over an hour ago, then walked off and curled up to sleep."
[2024/06/26 16:19] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ".....The tiger has adopted leesha. We're slightly more doomed than we were before all this," she replies.
[2024/06/26 16:20] Alicia Frakture: Leesha pauses to consider this."Looks like we have wolf meat."
[2024/06/26 16:20] Alicia Frakture: ...And I'm going to have to learn to hunt."
[2024/06/26 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: The early hours pass slowly, and the sun finally start to rise. HP and spell points recovered

[2024/06/26 16:22] Alicia Frakture: Leesha loads up the wolf and begins preparing it. *Figure the cooking skill taught her how to skin animals to get to the meat for cooking*

[2024/06/26 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: The tigers' head pops up from the grass nearby, like a submarine surfacing, and he pads out, wary, for the shank

[2024/06/26 16:26] Alicia Frakture: *It seemed to be a headless wolf*
[2024/06/26 16:26] Alicia Frakture: She smiles at the tiger."If you're willing to wait I can cook it for you. Or do you want it raw?'
[2024/06/26 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana takes no notice of any of this, as she tends to the horse. The tiger makes no sign of understanding he's even being addressed, he snatches the hunk of meat and pads back to the bushes quickly
[2024/06/26 16:28] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles happy to give some meat to the one who brought it
[2024/06/26 16:29] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben remembers a thing and checks if that nun-girl is awake at the moment. "Got a question about the lands up ahead."
[2024/06/26 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana glances at the sky a few times, but, whatever facination it held at night, isn't there during daylight
[2024/06/26 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan nods. "Of course, so do I, but, I came a different route to the capital."
[2024/06/26 16:33] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Sure. I'm more thinking... as we head up through these lands, are there any lords we need to care about? Castles or knightly manors or anything?"
[2024/06/26 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan: "I know not. I'm unfamiliar with these lands. Further on is Howandaland, of which I know even less. But nearer to Arc is the castle Shadowgate, which guards the route to the north east. There's not a great deal of note, it being so remote from the rest of the kingdom."
[2024/06/26 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan thinks for a few moments. "Well... there was this statue at Arc that disappeared. That's of note, I guess."
[2024/06/26 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Who was the sstatue of?"
[2024/06/26 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan: "No one, actually. It was of a star shape, which what appeared to be a flame inside it. Last month, it totally vanished."
[2024/06/26 16:37] Alicia Frakture: Depending on how well the skin and fur is removed Leesha sets it aside as someting to sell later
[2024/06/26 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: That sounds... bizarrely unremarkable, yet... you feel it is of some importance.
[2024/06/26 16:38] Alicia Frakture: Don't know. Star statue with a flame inside it sounds kinda cool.
[2024/06/26 16:39] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "That does seem odd." She rubs her chin. "Wonder if it was stolen or if it left on it's own will."
[2024/06/26 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan looks at you as if suddenly doubting your sanity, but says nothing.

[2024/06/26 16:44] Alicia Frakture: Leesha narrows her eyes but says nothing.
[2024/06/26 16:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Oh no," she says flatly. "What sort of help do you need?"
[2024/06/26 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man stops, hands on knees and wheezes, trying to get his breath back. "So... help...?"

[2024/06/26 16:46] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben sighs and offers him a waterskin.

[2024/06/26 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: Man: looking at you both: "Well no need to sound like that! Damnit, two of my friends are in mortal danger!"
[2024/06/26 16:47] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Could have led with that!" She answers. "What sort of danger? I've found just charging in blindly only gets people hurt more."
[2024/06/26 16:47] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: she pauses, glancing around to check that Katana hasn't already rushed off blindly.
[2024/06/26 16:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man takes a quick mouthful of water, takes a breath and starts again. "Look, I need help. We were digging in the hills, we're archeologists on a dig, and I think we found a tomb, but there's something in it and it's got my two partners."
[2024/06/26 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "An old tomb?" Her interest is piqued now. "What sort of something? Undead, cave trolls, fluffy nibblers?"
[2024/06/26 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: Man: "You know, when I heard them screaming, I didn't hang around to find out!"
[2024/06/26 16:49] Alicia Frakture: No, I get that... We all in to go help? Seems kinda bad to turn them down.
[2024/06/26 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: We should certainly give aid if we can.
[2024/06/26 16:50] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Yeah, you can tell us more about what you do know on the way up to this tomb."

[2024/06/26 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Man: "We're looking for the tomb of King Alfred, supposed to have lived over a thousand years ago, one of the early kings of Britain. There's supposed to be a manuscript detailing his history. I guess we found his burial mound... now I'm an archeologist, I want that text. There's reputed to be other treasure, help me and my partners, you can have the rest."
[2024/06/26 16:52] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "They buried him with a manuscript? What's it made of that it should last a thousand years?"
[2024/06/26 16:52] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Wait, that's not my problem right now. We need to figure out what got your minions."
[2024/06/26 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man sighs. "It's buried in an airtight chamber... of course it'll last. We regularly dig for, and excavate, such finds."
[2024/06/26 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Man: "Partners."
[2024/06/26 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: (And on this note of what are you getting into... I better get to bed.)
[2024/06/26 16:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Right, partners." She considers. "Any other signs of what defenses this tomb had?"
[2024/06/26 16:54] Alicia Frakture: we help the partners first and then worry about treasure.
[2024/06/26 16:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Hopefully your bed has not also been sealed in an airtight chamber for centuries, and that it is instead quite comfortable ))
[2024/06/26 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: Man: "We weren't even aware it -was- a tomb. We broke into some chamber, they looked in, then, they started screaming."
[2024/06/26 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: (hopefully, but, in this heat, it might as well be sealed in an oven)
